At least one person is happy about New England's recent moves.

At least one person is happy that Wes Welker is out of New England.

And it's no shock that person happens to be New York Jets coach Rex Ryan.

"I'm glad Wes is not there. I'm not kidding," Ryan said. "That guy was a pain in the tail. I hated Wes Welker. Just kidding. Kind of. I admire him. I'm a huge fan of Wes Welker's, but I'm glad he's gone.

"Now, they bring in a guy who's very similar, who went to the same school, a guy I know Wes Welker helped mentor. Will he have the same success as Wes Welker? We'll see. Wes Welker had historical success."

It's an understandable stance considering that Welker has averaged 85 yards per game against the Jets since Ryan landed in New York in 2009. Welker's 192-yard performance against the Jets during Ryan's first year was probably enough to establish those emotions.

And, well, there was also this.

Now we'll see if Danny Amendola can enjoy the same level of success against the Jets.
