The New England Patriots have their starting offensive line in place for next season.

The final piece fell into place Sunday when tackle Sebastian Vollmer agreed to come back for what is expected to be a four-year contract. The deal should be finalized Monday, according to the Boston Herald.

Vollmer, 28, is widely regarded as one of the best right tackles in football, but his market in free agency was slow to materialize because of several lingering health concerns. He's battled back injuries dating to college, and had an operation following the 2011 season after being limited to six games.

Vollmer came back strong in 2012, allowing one sack through Week 11, but he faded down the stretch, allowing five sacks over the final six games. He had a minor knee procedure after the season.

Vollmer's return means he and Nate Solder will start at tackle, Logan Mankins and Dan Connolly at guard, and Ryan Wendell at center.

The Patriots also have Marcus Cannon, Will Svitek and Markus Zusevics at tackle.

Out of four players selected by New England in the second round of the 2009 draft, Vollmer is the only one to earn a second contract with the Patriots. Ron Brace (Washington), Darius Butler (Indianapolis) and Patrick Chung (Philadelphia) are with other teams.
