Free agent cornerback Antwaun Molden is leaving Foxborough behind to join the Super Bowl champion New York Giants.

Molden announced the deal on his Twitter feed Wednesday night.

"Glad to be a Giant," he wrote.

The 27-year-old appeared in all 19 games for the New England Patriots last season and recorded 36 tackles and two interceptions serving primarily in the sub package. He played a total of 355 snaps and allowed 391 yards on 41 targets (28 completions), according to Pro Football Focus.

The Patriots claimed Molden off waivers from the Houston Texans, who selected him in the third round of the 2008 draft out of Eastern Kentucky, on August 31, 2011.

Molden was on the field for a combined 32 defensive snaps during his time with Houston.

New England currently has Devin McCourty, Sterling Moore, Ras-I Dowling, Will Allen, Malcolm Williams, Kyle Arrington and Marquice Cole under contract at cornerback.
