Longmeadow's John Mentor named Athlete of the Week after winning state ski title

The senior completed a perfect season with his first state title

JOHN MENTOR, Longmeadow Skiing
Class: Senior
Accomplishments: The senior capped off his high school ski career with unmatched results. He completed a perfect regular season, winning all seven PVIAC races. With a first place finish in both the slalom (31.66) and the giant slalom (24.75), he swept the Individual Championship. At the state race, he won the slalom title and placed third in the giant slalom out of 142 skiers.
