Girls swimming: The W&M medley relay team set a school record.
The Williston Northampton wrestling team placed sixth in Western New England Championships.
The Wildcats had eight wrestlers place. Connor Adams of Palmer won the heavyweight title while Easthampton’s Pat St. Martin finished second in the 195 pound class.
At 145 pounds, Andy Pierce placed third and at 220, Brandon Diaz took fourth. Placing fifth were Ezra Wool (Springfield) at 132 and Simon Wool (Springfield) at 182. In sixth place were Gabe Jacobson at 138 pounds and Longmeadow’s Sam Goldsmith at 170.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Cheshire 69, Williston 57: Williston made a late run, but it wasn’t enough to beat top-seeded Cheshire. Ade Adams led the Wildcats with 13 points.
Worcester 63, W&M 61: W&M had three players in double digit figures, led by Mike Boornazian with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Kamali Bey and Jaylen Brantley added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Pomfret 50, Williston 35: Natalie Ovando (West Springfield) led Williston with a team-high 18 points.
BOYS HOCKEY
Williston 2, Millbrook 1: The Williston defense played one of its strongest games of the season, and Tim Keegan made 30 saves for the win.
Matt Dupont and Mike Grassi each scored once, with Grassi scoring on a powerplay.
GIRLS HOCKEY
Williston 5, KUA 2: Williston took down Kimball Union Academy, scoring early and often. The Wildcats scored twice in the first period and twice in the second for the early lead.
Kathryn Tomaselli recorded her 100th point, putting in a five point day for the Wilcats (two goals, three assists). Tomaselli is only the second player in the school’s history to accomplish the milestone.
BOYS SWIMMING
Canterbury 51, W&M 43: Granby’s Kevin Lambert won the 100 fly and the 500 freestyle while West Springfield’s Ben Marcus won the 50 freestyle.
GIRLS SWIMMING
W&M 56, Canterbury 38: The girls medley relay team of Mia Konstantakos, Maddy McCloskey, Kaylee Walton and Anna Misiewicz set a school record with a time of 2:01.22.
Freshman Meg Harrington won the 100 fly in 1:11.25. Konstantakos also won the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.
BOYS SQUASH
Millbrook 5, Williston 2: Ben Ko and David Fay were both winners for Williston despite the loss.
