Girls hockey: Panthers need one point in final two games to clinch tournament bid.

Two games for one point.

That's what separates the Cathedral High School girls hockey team from a return trip to the state tournament.

Amy Haggerty netted three goals and an assist Wednesday as the Panthers - a co-op team between Cathedral, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow and Monson - defeated visiting Shrewsbury 7-2 at Cyr Arena in Springfield.

Cathedral (7-6-2) has games remaining Sunday against Beverly at Stoneham Arena and Feb. 18 at home against Auburn.

Annie D'Amario and Molly McKeown each had three assists for the Panthers, while Emily Spencer made 33 saves.
