According to ESPN Boston's Jackie MacMullan, Garnett is still suffering from bone spurs that "appear to float between his foot and ankle."

For weeks after Kevin Garnett's injury, the Boston Celtics alternated between calling it a foot or ankle injury.

The reality is that it might be both.

According to ESPN Boston's Jackie MacMullan, Garnett is still suffering from bone spurs that "appear to float between his foot and ankle." That doesn't sound very fun.

After adding a hip pointer to his growing collection of pain during Game 2, the center either didn't want to talk about his injuries or preferred to refer to himself in the plural form.

Asked before Thursday's practice if he feels physically ready for Game 3, Garnett replied, "We're a confident group." He repeated the exact same answer when subsequently questioned about how much confidence he has in his body.

The center, who missed 10 of the final 13 regular season games, was expected to participate in most of Thursday's practice. Head coach Doc Rivers said he wouldn't let Garnett go through the whole session even if he felt good, but Garnett is fully expected to start Friday night's Game 3.
