Top teams Minnechaug and Westfield well represented on The Republican's All-Scholastic boys swimming team

Boys swimming: State champion Tommy Normoyle of Minnechaug heads the list.

BRANDON ARCHAMBAULT, Chicopee: The senior captured the WMass diving title with 399.20 points; placed 6th at Div. II states with 390.10; 6th in senior class; will attend UMass. 


JOE BEAUPRE, Minnechaug: The senior was 4th in 100 back and 6th in 50 free at WMass, as Falcons won 6th straight title; part of 6th place 200 medley relay at Div. I states; was team captain. 


CAMERON BRAZ, Monson: The senior was 6th in 100 free and 7th in 200 free at Div. II states; 3rd in 100 and 4th in 200 at WMass; holds four school records; will swim at Niagara. 


CIARAN DILLON-DAVIDSON, Amherst: The junior won WMass title in 500 free (4:50.41) and was 2nd in 200 free (1:47.11); 2nd in 100 fly and 3rd in 200 free at Div. II states. 


JOHN DOLAN, Westfield: The junior was 3rd in 100 back, 5th in 100 free at WMass; anchored winning medley relay; 10th in back at Div. I states; anchored 400 relay in win over Minnechaug.


DAN DUPUIS, Minnechaug: The junior was 4th in 500 free and 5th in 100 fly as Falcons won 6th straight WMass title; 18th in fly at Div. I states; also plays baseball. 


MATT JACOBSON, Westfield: The senior was 4th in 200 IM and 7th in 100 back at WMass; very strong relay swimmer for the Bombers; will run cross country and track at Bowdoin. 


MARC KLEPACKI, Amherst: The sophomore finished 2nd in 100 fly and 3rd in 50 free at WMass; 9th in 50 free, 18th in fly and helped set school record in 200 free relay at Div. II states. 


JOE KNIGHT, Minnechaug: The senior was 4th in 100 free and 5th in 200 free as Falcons won 6th straight WMass title; part of 6th place 200 medley relay at Div. I states; to attend Colby. 


YURIY KONTSEVYY, Palmer: The senior was 4th in 100 breast, 9th in 100 free and helped win 200 free relay at WMass; 19th in breast, 44th in 100 free at Div. I states; also dives. 


TIM KWARCINSKI, Westfield: The junior returned from year off to finish 2nd in WMass in 200 IM (1:58.79) and 500 free (4:52.12); 4th in 200 IM at Div. I states; co-captain for next year. 


MATT LABOMBARD, Westfield: The senior was 2nd in 100 back and 4th in 100 fly at WMass; 8th in fly; 13th in back at Div. I states; school record holder in 100 back; will swim at Seton Hall. 


SCOTT LAVIANO, Agawam: The junior was 6th in 100 fly (58.25) and 7th in 50 free (23.87) at WMass; Div. I state qualifier in both events; 58.67 in fly in win over Easthampton. 


JUSTIN LIU, Longmeadow: The junior placed 10th in 200 IM, 14th in 100 fly at Div. II states; did not swim in Western Mass. meet; was 3rd in 50 free, 4th in 100 fly last year at WMass. 


COLIN MACHAT, Northampton: The senior won WMass titles in 200 and 100 free; Div. II state runner-up in 200 free and 3rd in 100; WMass High Point Award; will swim for Seton Hall. 


RYAN MANNIELLO, South Hadley: The sophomore finished 3rd at WMass in both 500 free and 200 free; 10th at Div. I states in both 100 and 200 free; strong contibutor on small Tigers team. 


TOMMY NORMOYLE, Minnechaug: The junior won WMass and Div. I state titles in 100 breast and also won 200 IM at WMass; set WMass-meet record in breast (58.27); 5th in IM at states. 


CONNOR PENNINGTON, Monson: The eighth-grader was WMass diving runner-up with 379.80 points; placed 8th at Div. II states with 372.85; 17th in 100 back at WMass; valuable in relays. 


JIMMY STINEHART, Westfield: The junior was WMass champion in 50 free and runner-up in 100 breast; helped set school-record in medley relay; 6th in 50, 8th in 100 free at Div. I states. 


AARON SZCZEPANEK, Palmer: The senior from Ware H.S. won WMass titles in 100 fly (51.69) and 100 back (53.74); 2nd in fly and 3rd in back at Div. I states; will swim for UMass. 


ALAN TANG, Amherst: The junior was WMass runner-up in both 100 breast and 100 fly; 12th in breast, 19th in fly and helped set school record in 200 free relay at Div. II states. 


AIDAN WINN, Northampton: The junior was 3rd in 200 IM (2:06.71) and 6th in 100 back (57.99) at WMass; 16th in back, 18th in 200 free at Div. II states; all-league. 
