BOSTON - Boston Bruins players didn't hide their feelings during in what was a very emotional and moving pregame ceremony honoring the victims of Monday's Boston Marathon bombings.

Here's what some of them had to say.

Enforcer Shawn Thornton:

"Tough to keep a dry eye after the memorial on the big screen. To hear the crowd singing like that is pretty special. It was great to see the support by the (17,565) here. It was definitely a different experience, but great to see everyone rallying around each other, which doesn't surprise you in this city."

Left winger Brad Marchand:

"It was extremely emotional. I was definitely fighting back tears. To see again how everyone was reacting to that video, it obviously touched not only people who were here tonight, but everyone at home, too, watching. It's something that we'll never forget. For everyone to show their respect and obviously give their thoughts and prayers for everyone, it's great that everyone is kind of coming together at this time and helping each other out."

Center Patrice Bergeron:

"The whole night was special, was emotional and the tribute - it was something. It got my emotions high, but also throughout the game just seeing the first responders getting shown on the Jumbotron...that brought a lot of emotion not only in the crowd, but on the bench."
