How David Ortiz's return to the Red Sox will affect Jackie Bradley Jr. is unknown, Sox manager John Farrell said.
NEW YORK — "Everything is moving in the right direction" for David Ortiz's return to the Red Sox and the hope that he'll start rehab games in Florida next week, Red Sox manager John Farrell said Wednesday in a radio interview with WEEI.
What's not known yet is how Ortiz's eventual return affects rookie outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.
"Well, you know the best answer to that is let's get David back first and we'll work through those other things," Farrell said. "In the meantime, I know it's one game, boy he handled himself great. No difference than what we saw in spring training. His status, he's here for now and we'll see where it goes once David gets back."
