Lucic's linemates David Krejci and Nathan Horton have also cooled off significantly in March.

When Boston Bruins left winger Milan Lucic scored at 9:49 in the second period to cut Toronto's 2-0 lead in half Monday night, a huge weight was lifted from his shoulders.

"It was starting to get really frustrating going as long as I did without a goal," Lucic said who snapped a 15-game scoreless drought. "You try so many different things, you keep pushing and pushing and when things start not working, you start second guessing yourself...My game is pretty simple so it doesn’t really matter who I play with, I’m expected to play a certain way and I play the same way no matter who I play with."

Lucic's goal not only sparked his offensive slump, but the team as a whole who rallied to beat the Maple Leafs, 3-2 in a shootout at TD Garden.

But Lucic isn't the only one struggling to find the back of the net as his linemates are still searching for answers.

Right winger Nathan Horton is amidst a scoring slump with only one goal to his name in 14 games in March and has gone five-straight without a point.

Center David Krejci hasn't fared too much better with two goals this month and on top of it battling a leg injury caused by a Johnny Boychuk slap shot against Pittsburgh on March 17.

Luckily the Bruins dodged a bullet with Krejci who only missed the Winnipeg game, but he's still not 100 percent.

The Bruins who once rolled four lines deep are wearing thin with key injuries to center Chris Kelly (broken tibia) and defenseman Adam McQuaid (shoulder strain) who could miss the rest of the regular season.

The combination is proving to be deadly unless Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli can pull the trigger before the April 3 trade deadline.
