Player to watch
Khalif Wyatt, G
Wyatt does a lot of things well, but the No. 1 priority for UMass has to be keeping the rangy point guard off the free throw line.
Wyatt averages almost seven trips there per game, and is converting at an 83 percent rate from the stripe. Look no further than Thursday’s game against Duquesne to see how dangerous he can be — knocking down 15 of 15 free throws.
Wyatt, though, has shown a penchant for giving the ball away — averaging 3.1 turnovers per game. If UMass has anything left in the tank after Thursday’s game, pressuring Wyatt could be a good option
