Ben Meisner posts another shutout for AIC hockey, Yellow Jackets unbeaten string extends to five

Ben Meisner made 18 saves for his second consecutive shutout for the Yellow Jackets, who are 3-0-2 in their last five games.

WEST SPRINGFIELD - AIC senior goaltender Ben Meisner posted his second straight shutout, and his eighth of his career as the Yellow Jackets extended their unbeaten string to five games (3-0-2) with a 4-0 victory over Sacred Heart Friday night at the Olympia.

The Yellow Jackets (8-14-5, 5-11-5 Atlantic Hockey) scored two power-play goals in the second period after Sacred Heart's Jared Eng received a game misconduct for hitting from behind.

Meisner made 18 saves. The Yellow Jackets had 28 shots.

The last-place Pioneers (0-25-2, 0-18-2) host the Yellow Jackets in a rematch Saturday night at the Milford (Conn.) Ice Pavillion at 7:05.
