Anthony said he and Garnett have reconciled since sharing words outside the Celtics team bus following a Jan. 7 matchup, but it appears the Knicks don't want to assume the Boston crowd will be very forgiving.
New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony will reportedly exercise caution during his trip to the TD Garden Thursday.
According to the New York Daily News, Anthony will be accompanied by his own personal bodyguard when his Knicks meet the Boston Celtics Thursday night at 8 p.m.
Anthony said he and Celtics forward Kevin Garnett have reconciled since sharing words outside the Celtics team bus following a Jan. 7 matchup, but it appears the Knicks don't want to assume the Boston crowd will be very forgiving.
After the Jan. 7 meeting, which the Celtics won 102-96, Anthony waited outside the Celtics team bus to confront Garnett, who reportedly said something to Anthony that crossed the line. Anthony was suspended one game for the incident, but is appealing for the $176,000 in lost wages.
