This is the second meeting between the teams in a span of four days as Boston hosted New York in its season opener Saturday and came out with a 3-1 win.

The Rangers are eager to earn their first win of the shortened season as they fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 6-3 Sunday.

Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist was chanced out of the game at 9:11 of the second period after he allowed three straight goals to give Pittsburgh a 4-1 lead.

Lundqvist is 0-2 with a 4.77 goals-against average and .865 save percentage.

Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg and forward Brad Marchand are game-time decisions via the Bruins Twitter feed.

Both participated in the team's optional Wednesday morning skate at Madison Square Garden.

Seidenberg was a late scratch in Monday's 2-1 shootout win over the Winnipeg Jets. He skated during Monday's practice at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington before boarding a flight to New York.

Marchand was missing from practice for a "maintenance day," but Julien said he expects him in the lineup.

Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice. He will make his third straight start.

Rask is 2-0 with a 0.96 GAA and .958 save percentage.

Probable Bruins lineup

Defensemen

Dennis Seidenberg-Dougie Hamilton

Goalies

OTHER NOTES: If you happen to follow Rich Peverley on Twitter thinking it's really him, it's phony.

Marc Bertrand of 98.5 The Sports Hub tweeted that the Peverley account is fake per Bruins Media Relations rep Eric Tosi.

All Bruins who do have Twitter accounts can be found under their individual stats page on the Bruins official website.

Boston is 0 for 9 on the power play, but 9 for 9 on the penalty kill.
