It took 10 years, but Lloyd will finally play in the postseason.

In previous years, Brandon Lloyd would be getting ready to
go on vacation this time of year.

Sometimes it was the Sundance Film Festival, other years he took off to the Bahamas, but never during his 10 years as a professional did the New England Patriots wide receiver's plans involve participating in a playoff game.

Until this year, that is. On Sunday, Lloyd will accomplish that goal when the Patriots host the Houston Texans.

"Ever since (I was) a kid, the ultimate goal is to play in the Super Bowl and the only way to get to the Super Bowl is to make the playoffs," Lloyd said. "This is a step along the way to the ultimate goal for all of us, for all the teams that have entered the playoffs. This is just the beginning."

Lloyd said that he's enjoyed almost everything about being a member of the Patriots, but one of the best parts has been the time he's been able to spend with coach Bill Belichick.

"He's a great teacher. The way he teaches the game, it's almost like I'm not being coached, I'm actually being taught," Lloyd said. "That's been the part of this experience that has stuck out the most to me."
