Bill Belichick says that Brady was late one day, but that Brady has been otherwise unaffected by the arrival of his new daughter.
FOXBOROUGH – Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen welcomed their second child together to world Wednesday night, a daughter named Vivian Lake. But the excitement of having a new child and growing family hasn’t impacted the Patriots quarterback’s preparation for Monday night’s game against the Houston Texans.
Coach Bill Belichick said that Brady was an hour late arriving to team facilities Thursday morning, but nothing suggests that Brady has been distracted by the arrival of his new daughter.
“We met yesterday. I think he’s right on top of everything like he usually is,” Belichick said. “As far as his preparation, we met and went over their scheme and their players and the adjustments and things we expected the Texans to do and so forth and he seemed right on top of it to me, like he usually does.”
Brady declined interview requests Thursday, but went throughout the locker room to distribute chocolate cigars to his teammates. He’s been in attendance at practice all week, and the birth of his daughter did not become public until a day after her birth.
