UMass coach Charlie Molnar decided to start true freshman quarterback A.J. Doyle in the season finale, the Lakeville native rallying UMass from a 14-0 deficit to take a 21-14 lead early in the third quarter.
But Doyle threw a pair of third-quarter interceptions that led to Chippewa touchdowns and running back Zurlon Tipton rushed for four touchdowns to help the Chippewas reach .500 overall and in the conference.
