Camby will be the fifth Minuteman to have his number retired.
Marcus Camby will become the fifth University of Massachusetts Minuteman to have his number retired at the Mullins Center on Jan. 19 when UMass takes on George Washington.
Camby led the Atlantic 10 in scoring in 1996 (20.5 points per game) as the Minutemen finished with a 35-2 record and made it to the 1996 Final Four and was named national player of the year for his efforts.
Camby's No. 21 will join Trigger Burke's and Julius Erving's 32, Lou Roe's 15 and Al Skinner's 30 on the wall at the Mullins Center.
