Leandro Barbosa practiced with the Boston Celtics for the first time Wednesday, preaching a team-first attitude when he spoke to reporters afterward.Rajon Rondo said Barbosa, known primarily as a scorer, played a lot of point guard during the three-hour practice as Jason Terry moved over to the shooting guard position. Though Barbosa has normally played off the ball, he gives Boston another ball-handling option when Rondo hits the bench.
The Brazilian might not play many minutes because of Boston's deep guard rotation, but he understands that and says he's fine with a limited role as long as the Celtics are winning.
"Yes, I'm OK for whatever," he said. "Whatever minutes I have on the court I'm going to try to do my best and help my teammates. But if I don't come to the court it's fine for me too as long as the team [is successful]."
