Allie Fitzsimmons of West Springfield leads AIC women's soccer to 11th straight win.

One Hall of Famer watched a likely future Hall of Famer break her record Saturday, and the Westfield State University women’s soccer team remained unbeaten with a 6-1 Homecoming Day victory over Framingham State.

With Ludlow native Sandy (Pinto) Graham in attendance, senior Kayley Miller, also of Ludlow, scored two goals to pass Pinto Graham as the school's career scoring leader.

Miller now has 118 career points. Pinto Graham, who was inducted into the Westfield State Athletics Hall of Fame Friday night, recorded 116 points and held the record for 15 years. She presented Miller with the game ball Saturday.

Miller tied the record with a beautiful crossing shot from 23 yards just inside the far post to give the Owls a 4-1 lead. With 19 minutes remaining in the match, she added her record-breaking goal score from short range.

Meanwhile, another Ludlow native is closing in on a record. Senior forward Brittanie McGregor assisted on two goals within a 25-second span to help jump start the Owls into a 2-0 lead. She now has 13 assists for the year, two shy of the school’s single-season mark.

McGregor also outraced the Framingham goalkeeper to a loose ball to score a goal in the 53rd minute.

With the victory, Westfield lifted its record to 15-0-1, 6-0 MASCAC.
