American International College's football team opened its season with a 34-7 loss on the road against Shepherd University in Sheperdstown, West Virginia.
Host Shepherd used a balanced offense to drub the visiting Yellow Jackets in Division II play. The Rams pair of running backs in Kenny Williams and Mike Haynes each scored a pair of touchdowns to power the Rams in the winning effort.
